My quick update:
1. I had surgery on December 23rd to fix my knee. Apparently, I'm pretty hilarious when doped on anesthesia. All I remember is, once I was aware of consciousness, I had one main thought going through my head and that was "I'm naked under this gown". I told the nurse in charge of keeping an eye on me while I was in recovery this and she just laughed. The first few nights were difficult only because I couldn't sleep all curled up like I normally do (this really persisted until I was allowed to unlock my brace; I technically just took it off while I was sleeping though because it's hard to sleep in). Pain tolerance... I have a high pain tolerance and was completely off of Hydrocodone by the fourth day after surgery. Now, when my knee hurts I ignore it (for the most part) or take one Acetaminophen (500 mg). It's nice to not be dependent on pain medication - it makes what I take that much more powerful and effective.
*Side note: I learned, around week three through five of post-surgery recovery, that I'm allergic to Band Aids with latex in them. This bites because the only "good" and sticky band aids all have latex in them.
2. I finished reading "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. Good book for anyone looking for a book to read. It's a challenge though; not just in length either (1069 pages with tiny (probably 10 pt.) font. The challenge comes from the fact that the authoress is constantly challenging your mind. I loved reading it.
That's really the only major updates. I'll be posting pictures of my surgery later. See ya'll later.
